Revisiting Peru
Working my way through photographs of Iceland made me realize that I had never really worked my way through photographss of Peru (see more from that trip here). Charles and I took this trip back in early 2015, so shame on me - it has been almost two years since I have done anything with these. We frequently discuss returning to this beautiful and welcoming country, to visit the Andes and the Amazon (Iquitos is on my list), return to Lima, the South, and to perhaps cross over into Bolivia.
Our trip spanned Holy Week (the week preceding Easter), and we were able to see Holy Thursday processions in Cusco, Good Friday processions in Urubamba, and in Puno on the shores of Laka Titicaca - processions and Mass for the Easter Vigil. While I did not whip out my big camera to capture these unforgettable experiences, I did have my iPhone handy.
